Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs and Female Empowerment Awards

Two Macleans College students were celebrated at the Annual Awards Ceremony of the Zonta Club of East Auckland.
Year 13 student Wei-Tian Teo (Rutherford House) received the Zonta Young Woman in Public Affairs Award. This prestigious award, worth $1,000, recognises young women, aged 16-19, who demonstrate leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.
Year 12 student Bianca Lim (Snell) was awarded the Female Empowerment Award (formerly Year 12 Female Leadership award). Bianca has demonstrated leadership in her school life. She provides a positive influence on others, exhibits personal growth in undertaking and accepting challenges, and guides, mentors and inspires others.
