Macleans College students recognised in Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards

Two Macleans College students were awarded for their outstanding achievements in sport at the College Sport Auckland Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards held last week at Eden Park.
Students who were finalists included Olivia Wilkinson (Te Kanawa House) and Cerys O’Loughlin (Upham) in gymsports, Rosie Yang (Kupe) and Josephine Zhao (Mansfield) in badminton, Dwayne Li (Batten) for Olympic achievement, Ben Oxford (Kupe) in distance running and Zoe Benson (Te Kanawa) in football.
Congratulations to Dwayne Li for being recognised with the Olympic Achievement award. Dwayne won a bronze medal in figure skating at the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games.
Congratulations also to Zoe Benson who won the Football award. Zoe was also a finalist in the overall Sportswoman of the Year category. Zoe is a member of the New Zealand Under 20 football team.
