On Thursday 24 June, the Year 13 Macleans College Police Studies class attended a Police Careers Fair held at the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium, Kohimarama, Auckland.

The Police Careers Fair was attended by 20 Police workgroups, including the Armed Offenders Squad (AOS), Forensic Imaging, Delta (dog handlers), Specialist Search Groups (SSG), several front-line Officers, and Rapid Response team (RRT).

Students participated in a range of activities including fitness tests, in which Diago Asia (Rutherford House) set the record for the highest vertical jump and the highest score for the grip strength test. Students also experienced being placed in handcuffs and led by authorised Officers to a Police Custody vehicle.

Students from well over 20 schools from as far away as Tauranga, involved in the Police Pathway Programme, participated in the event.
