Year 12 Travel and Tourism Fieldtrip

The Year 12 Travel and Tourism students recently undertook a tourism fieldtrip in the city.

They completed a course at the International Travel College, experienced an Adventure Jet boat ride, and met and spoke with people in tourism businesses.

The students used various forms of transportation and visited a number of accommodation businesses including the Nomads and Cordis Hotels. A tour of the Volvo Ocean Race village was followed by an excursion on board the America’s Cup yachts which are owned by Explore NZ.

The trip motivated the students who were made aware of the variety of opportunities the Travel and Tourism industry can offer.
