World Schools Debating Championships

Alan Zhang, Year 13 of Kupe House recently travelled to Europe to participate in the Prague Spring Debating Tournament and the World Schools Debating Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.
The opening ceremony was held at the Croatian National Theatre. Over 50 different countries were involved in the event.
Alan was a member of the New Zealand debating team which reached the quarter finals of both tournaments. The team also travelled to Plitvice Lakes National Park which is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia.
