Women in Engineering workshop

Posted on May 28, 2021

Over twenty of the brightest and best senior female physics students attended an on-site workshop run by Women in Engineering (WEN) and the University of Auckland Engineering Department on 26 May.

The students learned about the world of engineering from a team of undergraduate engineering students, and the study and career opportunities available to them at the University of Auckland.

They then learned more about electrical engineering with some hands-on electronic building projects with breadboards, transistors, LEDs and other components. Lots of fun and teamwork was seen in building and testing the circuits, and the students left with a better understanding of the world of engineering.

Thanks to the WEN team from the University of Auckland for providing this memorable event.
