Vocal Showcase II

On Friday 23 August the second vocal showcase of the year was held in the Colin Prentice Auditorium at Macleans College.
One hundred and eighty students took part in the event which featured Aria (all comers girls’ choir), Men of Macleans (all comers male choir) and the Chorale together with three Auckland regional champion Barbershop groups; Macappella, Daydreamin’ (Wei Tian Teo of Rutherford House, Emily Rush of Te Kanawa, Annika Lee of Snell, and Josephine Law of Batten) and Three and a Half Basses (John Yang of Hillary, Rayman Tang of Rutherford, Kay Tang of Snell, and Kevin Hou of Upham).
The concert was held in preparation for both the Big Sing Finale which will be held in Dunedin from 28 August to 1 September and the Barbershop National Finals which will be held in Christchurch from 11 – 13 September.
