Variety of performances at Eisteddfod 2021

The Macleans College Eisteddfod was held at the end of Term 2, with a variety of performances on display.

The week-long festival commenced with a lunch time “sneak peek” at this year’s Showquest dance creation, before the team competed at the regional Showquest competition. A packed-out auditorium clearly enjoyed the magnificent dance on display which was choreographed and rehearsed to an exceptionally high level.

The auditorium stage was then transformed for three nights of Offline, a Cabaret production created and directed by Ms Burnett, based on contemporary musical theatre songs. A capacity audience were seated at tables, complete with platters and drinks and treated to wonderful performances by a cast of twelve reinforced by a small band of musicians.

Back to conventional theatre style seating, the week continued with concerts featuring the college’s vocal and instrumental groups in vocal, orchestra and band showcase events.
