Uxbridge Arts Centre Friday’s at Twelve

The Uxbridge Arts Centre Friday’s at Twelve concert series opened on 31 May with a performance given by Macleans College.
Thirty music students entertained the local audience with a varied programme of solo, chamber music and large ensemble items.
Featured during the concert were:
- Danielle Tweedale of Rutherford House (voice), Reuben Chung of Mansfield (Guitar) and Lorna Zhang of Mansfield (Violin)
- Pentavent - a newly formed wind quintet, Iris Wu of Mansfield (Oboe), Bradley Shen of Kupe (Clarinet), Nancy Chen of Rutherford (Flute), Elyssa Chen of Snell (Bassoon) and Caroline Chang of Hillary (Horn)
- Sfourzando - a piano quartet, David Li of Snell (Piano), Kevin Guan of Upham (Violin), Veda Xue of Rutherford (Viola), Bruce Zhang of Kupe (Cello)
- Fortissimo Saxes - a saxophone quartet, Jimmy Zhou of Batten (Soprano), Lisa Sandbrook of Snell (Alto), Alex Jin of Mansfield (Tenor), Miles Boermans of Te Kanawa (Baritone)
The concert was rounded off with a jazz set from the Macleans College Stage Band under the direction of Alberto Santarelli.
