USA Golf Scholarship awarded to Vivian Lu

The University of Washington has awarded Year 13 student Vivian Lu (Batten House) with an Athletic Financial Aid Scholarship.
Vivian signed the scholarship documents at Macleans College in the office of Principal Mr Hargreaves on Tuesday 15 November.
This four-year full scholarship covers tuition fees, room and board at campus rates, the cost of course related books, personal expenses, and transportation.
Vivian is a high achieving player who aspires to be a professional golfer in the next few years. Her dream to become a professional golfer started when she was in primary school. Vivian has spent thousands of hours practicing and training. She has acquired the skills, alongside physical and mental strength to perform at a very high level on the New Zealand golf circuit.
Since 2018, Vivian has been a member of the Macleans College Premier Golf team, and is the current co-captain. She was instrumental in Macleans College winning the national golf title in 2018 and 2019. Vivian has won the Macleans College Sportswoman of the Year award for the last five years. She has been in the New Zealand Women’s Golf team for the past four years. This year she is a member of the tier one team.
