Mrs Sarah was Upham House Leader for the years 2018 and 2019. This year, during her maternity leave, she was offered a position as Deputy Principal at McAuley High School. Accepting this position, Mrs Sarah marks an end to her journey at Macleans College.
A farewell assembly was held in Upham House thanking Mrs Sarah for all her continuous efforts and contributions to the school. This assembly was also attended by Macleans College Principal Mr Hargreaves, members of the Senior Management Team, Mrs Sarah’s family as well as members of the school Kapa Haka group that Mrs Sarah led.
Starting off with a karakia from Year 9 Upham students, the assembly consisted of speeches from students and staff, a musical item from Upham students, a mihi and performance from the school Kapa Haka group, and finally a speech from Board of Trustees member Mr Wilkie.
There is no doubt that Mrs Sarah made a positive impact during her time here at Macleans College. Her selfless dedication and involvement in the school are greatly appreciated.
Macleans College students and staff wish Mrs Sarah the best for her future endeavours.
