Update 20 September
Posted on September 20, 2021
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I trust you are well.
The Prime Minister has announced that Auckland will be in Alert Level 3 on Wednesday.
At Level 3, students who do not have suitable supervision at home may attend school to be supervised. Remote lessons will continue online and school remains closed for most students.
Please email [email protected] with the name of your child if you intend to send your child to school to be supervised.
Appropriate safety measures will be in place for the students being supervised, including: disinfecting high touch surfaces, sanitising hands, wearing masks, social distancing and contact tracing.
Detailed instructions for those students who must attend school are listed below.
Attendance at school during Level 3 Alert - Guidelines for students
Students who do not have suitable supervision at home will report to the front office area at 8.50 am to be supervised by Senior Management.
Students must not touch anything and remain 2m apart while they wait to be greeted and briefed by staff.
The roll will be called and the students will be taken into a classroom where they will be allocated a desk. This desk will be used by them for the duration of Alert Level 3. Physical distance rules will be followed at all times.
Students will need to bring their own laptop and headphones so that they can continue with their online learning. There is no sharing of equipment allowed.
Students must bring their own packed lunch and drink. There will be no kitchen facilities available to prepare food. The tuck shop is closed.
Students may go outside at interval and lunch time but they will need to maintain 2m physical distance at all times. They must sanitise their hands upon re-entering the House.
Students are expected to be in full school uniform.
Students who are ill will be sent home immediately.
Again, these instructions apply for those few students who do not have suitable supervision at home. Most students will continue to learn from home with online lessons.
Kind regards,
Steven Hargreaves
Principal
