A team of University of Auckland students and their lecturer visited Macleans College to showcase the fascinating world of engineering.
The university students are members of the Women in Engineering Network (WEN), who offer a range of support services to high school students, including subject support, holiday camps and buddy programmes.
During this valuable opportunity, junior Macleans College students enjoyed learning about Sphero robotics. Senior students attended a discussion about the exciting fields of computational thinking and problem solving at the University of Auckland.
Various activities were planned to help students understand the need for problem solving and design thinking in the field of engineering.
The visit was a truly enriching experience for the Macleans College students. The school extends its gratitude to the WEN team at the University of Auckland for sharing their knowledge and passion.
