Trip to Madrid and Andalusia
Posted on May 03, 2018
During the recent holidays, a number of Macleans College students of Spanish travelled to Spain in order to explore Spanish culture and extend their linguistic skills.
They visited Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Sevilla, Granada, Cadiz and Jerez. Students had the opportunity to be billeted by local families, fully enjoying Spanish hospitality and rich cuisine.
As well as visiting some of the most prestigious museums in Europe (Museo del Prado and Museo Reina Sofia) the group had the chance to participate in a number of activities such as a cycling tour of Madrid, cooking lessons, a flamenco workshop and watching the Dancing Horses from the Real Escuela de Arte Ecuestre en Jerez.
Amongst others, they visited the Alhambra (the palace of the last Sultan ruling over Andalusia), the Mosque/Cathedral of Cordoba and the Alcazar de Sevilla.
A once-in-a-lifetime trip, full of enjoyment and learning opportunities.
