Top Scholars Awards Ceremony

The 2015 Top Scholar Awards Ceremony was hosted at Parliament on May 4th.
Three Macleans College students were amongst the thirty six students who were congratulated by the Prime Minister John Key and the Minister of Education Hekia Parata.
Zhong Huang received one of nine National Premier Scholarships with Outstanding Scholarship awards in Chemistry, Economics, Physics and Statistics and Scholarships in Biology, English and Geography. David Kim was top in New Zealand in Chemistry, Wendy Lee was top in New Zealand in Media Studies.
Zhong Huang will be attending the California Institute of Technology. Wendy Lee is going to the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. David Lee is currently studying Biomedicine at the University of Auckland.
David and Wendy also gained overall Outstanding Scholarship awards. A total of fifty seven Outstanding Scholarship awards were distributed throughout New Zealand. In addition to David and Wendy five other Macleans students gained these awards. They were Joseph Meltzer, Henry Jiang, Saffron Huang, Lucas Lee and Daisy Huang.
