Terry O’Dea

Terry O’Dea, a member of the teaching staff at Macleans College, passed away on Sunday morning at Middlemore Hospital.

Our sincerest condolences go out to his family.

Terry was a much loved and respected colleague and staff member. He served the school and its students with dedication as Director of Sport, a coach and classroom teacher for over 17 years. Even as his health worsened this year he was very determined to give his all and was still heavily involved in several extra-curricular activities.

Mr O’Dea’s involvement in sport brought him into contact with a large number of students and their families. Please contact the school if you believe there is anything school staff can do to support your child. We have counselling support available.
