Te Kanawa House Ronald McDonald House Dinner
Posted on May 17, 2018
On Thursday 10th May, 17 Te Kanawa House students and six teachers prepared for and provided a dinner for 120 people staying at Ronald McDonald House.
Some of the students also entertained the children with face painting, cupcake decorating and playing games.
The staff at Ronald McDonald House praised the students highly, not only for the dinner provided, but also on their conduct and the manner in which they interacted with and supported the families.
As well as the above students being fully involved in this activity it also involved the whole Te Kanawa House. The students and teachers contributed to a Coin Trail to raise funds to purchase food for the dinner. A total of $317.30 was collected. The Year 9 classes also provided food items. An amazing team effort!
A special mention to the following students who gave freely of their time on both Wednesday and Thursday after school. It speaks well of your caring of others in their time of need and made a huge difference during a stressful and difficult time for them.
