Te Kanawa House donate to Child Cancer Foundation

Earlier this term, Te Kanawa House presented a cheque to the Child Cancer Foundation at their annual service assembly.
Service Captain Liliana Relf and House Captain Olivia Pokorny addressed the students, congratulating them on their contribution to raising funds totalling a commendable $6,175.
The fundraising was generated through a variety of events, including the Child Cancer street appeal, Mt Taniwha carnival, bake sales, sausage sizzle and mufti day.
Megan Rees from the Child Cancer Foundation gratefully received the cheque and addressed the assembly, reiterating the importance of the donation to the young cancer sufferers and their families. She then presented certificates to students who had completed a minimum of three service activities throughout the year.
