Te Kanawa Carnival
Posted on September 11, 2017
On August 15 Te Kanawa House staged a successful day fundraising for Child Cancer and parents whose sick children spend time in Starship Hospital.
The events at school were organised by each form class. They ran their own stalls which ranged from food stalls to raffles, tarot reading and games stalls.
The school activities raised $3,000, which will be used in two ways. Firstly, to cook meals at Starship Hospital for approximately 100 family members of sick children, and to provide Christmas hampers for local families whose children are in the hospital over the festive season.
In addition, the students participated in a street appeal for Child Cancer which raised $3,500.
