Success in Mathematics and Physics

On 15 July over 80 Macleans College students participated in the New Zealand Physics and Math competition (NZPMC) online.

This is a yearly competition run by the University of Canterbury. It tests both subjects ability covered in NCEA Levels 1, 2 and some Level 3 content through 40 multi-choice questions.

In the senior category, Year 13 student Oliver Dai (Snell House) placed first out of the whole country.

In the junior category, Year 11 student Joshua Yee (Batten) and Year 9 student Jay Zhao (Rutherford) placed second and third respectively.
