Success in Economics Pursuits Competition

For the second year in a row, Macleans College has won the Auckland Economics Pursuits Competition, held this year on Wednesday 20 September at the University of Auckland.

In addition to returning the trophy to the school, the team members of Ansel Wong – Captain (Batten House), Ricky Wang (Kupe), Yang Fan Yun (Snell), Judd Zhan (Snell) and Winnie Zhang (Hillary), won themselves Westfield vouchers. They had to complete seven gruelling rounds of questions testing not only their Economics knowledge but their general knowledge of current political events.

The team was accompanied by Mrs Bigwood and Ms Monsen.
