Macleans College recently hosted a short-term student study group from Thailand schools, Don Bosco Vitthaya and Vajiravudh College.

Six students and one teacher spent three weeks at Macleans College. Each visiting student was assigned to a Macleans College student ambassador for the duration of their stay. Alongside their ambassadors, the Thai students attended classes and participated in school activities.

In addition to experiencing school life in New Zealand, the Thai students also enjoyed exploring Auckland, with the help of an AT HOP card. Highlights for the group included trips to the Auckland Memorial War Museum, experiencing sand and sun at local beaches and undertaking some retail therapy at shopping malls.

A farewell event was held, with each student receiving a certificate and a gift from the Macleans College International Department. The Macleans College student ambassadors were recognised for their hospitality toward the visiting students - students and staff then shared a farewell pizza lunch together.
