Students Experience Electric Performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet

Posted on March 12, 2019

On Friday 8 March, forty-nine students from the Macleans College Extension Programme travelled to the Pop-Up Globe theatre in Ellerslie for an afternoon of madness and murder.

The matinee audience consisting of students from all over Auckland were treated to electric performances from the Nottingham’s Company in their rendition of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The Pop-Up Globe has become an institution in New Zealand and Australia, with an authentic stage structure based on the original Globe theatre in London that enables modern audiences to viscerally engage with Elizabethan and Jacobean drama.
