Students attend AS Music Set Works Lecture

Posted on March 03, 2020

On Thursday 27 February AS Music students attended a lecture at the University of Auckland given by Dr Gregory Camp.

The lecture focussed on a variety of analytic standpoints that can be taken when studying musical works.  Musicology, social context and performance practice were used as a lens for exploring the works of Boulanger, Wagner, Bach, Handel and Britten.

The lecture is one in a series of events catering to help students prepare for the challenging Cambridge International AS Music set works examination.

Students who took part were Shanhai Guan (Hillary House), Cian John-Francke (Kupe), Emily Swasbrook (Kupe), Jaden Cheng (Snell) and Ruby Shi (Batten).
