Posted on January 25, 2016
William Han (Upham House) received medals for Mathematics, Science, English and Digital Technologies in his first year at high school in 2015.
The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools is an international examination taken by thousands of New Zealand students in a range of subjects. The examinations provide students with valuable experience in independent skills-based examinations with a competition element.
More than one million student entries are accepted from over 6,300 schools in Australia and New Zealand annually. In addition, students from over 20 countries including Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and the USA take part in ICAS each year.
It is quite rare for one student to achieve four medals in one year, so William is to be congratulated on a fine achievement.
