Spanish learnings celebrated with a cultural afternoon
Posted on July 04, 2023
In the last week of term 2 students of Spanish in Years 9, 10 and 11 participated in an afternoon of Spanish culture.
They took part in games and quizzes centred around different aspects of the Spanish speaking world. This included learning about the key ingredients in a paella, finding out more about people, places, flags and events in the Hispanic world as well as taking part in some salsa dancing.
After a demonstration from the very talented Ms Vogels and her dance partner, students learned a few basic salsa steps and moves, all with good humour and a can-do attitude.
This was a fitting way to round out the semester for the Year 9 and 10 Spanish students, who have worked hard all to build their language and cultural competencies.
