Snell House hosts a Special Olympics Event

On Monday 26th June Snell House and Macleans College hosted a Special Olympics New Zealand football event on the new school turf.

Ten schools from across Auckland sent teams of students who participated in a round-robin event over the course of the day.

Snell House provided 25 student volunteers who assisted in the roles of referees, scorers and announcers. Snell has supported Special Olympic events over the years as their major charity is the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation.

An excellent day was had by all, with both competitors and volunteers alike enjoying each other’s company.
