Snell House Fundraising Efforts for the Halberg Disability Sports Foundation

At House Assembly on 26 October Snell Service Captains Woo Park and Katie Twisleton presented Nicki Turner, National Manager of the Halberg Disability Sports Foundation with, a cheque for $6000.
Nicki, a former sports coordinator at Macleans College, spoke on behalf of Sir Murray Halberg about the work of the Foundation and how they are working to provide recreational opportunities for all physically disabled young New Zealanders.
Woo and Katie spoke about Snell House’s fundraising endeavours this year which included movie nights and a first ever Snell carnival.
Snell students continue to volunteer at Special Olympics events throughout Auckland helping organisers run the various events put on for disabled school children.
