Posted on June 05, 2018
On Friday 25 May, the Year 13 Social Studies classes were visited after school by the local National Party Member of Parliament, Mr Simeon Brown.
Mr Brown, the Associate Spokesperson for Education, was invited to discuss the social issues that groups within each class had chosen. Each group had at least one representative who stayed after school to talk to Mr Brown.
The representative outlined their chosen social issue to Mr Brown which covered a wide range of topics. Mr Brown then gave an insight into what he believes he would like to see improved under the Labour Government.
The students enjoyed the opportunity to have their views heard by a Member of Parliament. Many thanks to Mr Brown for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Macleans College and speak.
