Selection for New Zealand teams at the 2019 International Olympiads

Nine senior students have qualified to represent New Zealand at International Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Economics Olympiads in July which will be held in Paris, the United Kingdom, Hungary, and Russia respectively.
For the International Chemistry Olympiad Year 13 Rayman Tang (Rutherford House) and Year 12 Daniel Ahn (Batten) have been selected with Year 13 Kevin Hou (Upham) chosen as a reserve.
With the International Mathematics Olympiad two brothers, Year 13 William Han (Upham) and Year 11 Rick Han (Snell) will be representing New Zealand.
Zi Lin Wang, Year 13 (Rutherford) has been selected to represent as one of four students to attend the International Biology Olympiad in Hungary in July.
Hayley Xie (Upham) and Abhinav Chawla (Snell) have been selected for the International Economics Olympiad with Sanjit Ramesh Chandran (Hillary) chosen as a reserve.
This is an outstanding achievement which is richly deserved by each student.
