Selected to represent NZ in Touch Rugby

Year 11 Macleans College student Declan Murphy (Mansfield House) has been selected for the New Zealand U16 Mixed Green team.

Declan’s selection comes after an injury which ruled him out of the Junior Nationals in 2019.

He kept his eye on the prize and was able to recover in time to return to the field with the Auckland U16 Mixed team to win the national title in February.

Declan is looking forward to the upcoming domestic tour (replacing the Australian tour for this year) in September.
