School open Wednesday 15 February

School is open today.

• House Assembly at 8.35am
• Athletics prelims are postponed.
• Normal timetable classes will proceed.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We trust you and your family are safe. Our thoughts are with those who have been badly affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Thank you for the quick response to this morning’s message that school would remain closed.

The forecast for East Auckland is for today’s high winds to drop overnight. Therefore our current assessment is that it will be safe to open school on Wednesday.

Should there be major damage to the school site overnight, or the forecast changes radically, we will revisit our decision to open and communicate that as swiftly as possible. The school website and Facebook page are updated as soon as we confirm each decision. The processing of the emails takes a little longer.

We are looking forward to starting back at school tomorrow with a House Assembly.

Athletics prelims are postponed until March.
