Ten Macleans College students competed in the 73rd annual Auckland Inter-Secondary Schools Fleet Racing Regatta at Wakatere Boating Club, Narrow Neck Beach, Devonport.
Over 150 competitors took part in the regatta and represented across eight different classes. The sailors were treated to flat sea conditions with a 13-16 knot south easterly breeze with gusts of up to 18 knots.
Macleans College finished eighth overall in the inter-school competition with some excellent individual results. Auckland Grammar School took out the top school this year, securing the Epiglass trophy from previous winners; Takapuna Grammar School.
In the P Class fleet Callum Noyer (Mansfield House) finished in first place, Izzy Harrison (Hillary) finished second overall and Alex Zhao (Upham) finished fifth.
