Sailing Success

Nicholas Drummond, Year 11 Snell House competed recently in the RS Feva National Championship at Torbay, in Auckland.
The Championships were held over two days, with eight races in total. There were 36 boats in the competition, with some very strong winds and difficult conditions. Nicholas and his partner Blake Hinsley, from Botany Downs Secondary College won the event and came first overall.
They have now been invited to compete at the World Championships to be held in July, in Italy.
The two boys have been training for a year for this competition and so the result was well deserved.
