Rutherford House complete Tough Guy and Gal Challenge in support of Cure Kids
Posted on August 31, 2018
Thirty-eight students, along with Mr Meldrum and Mrs Thompson recently completed the Annual Tough Guy and Gal Challenge as part of Rutherford House’s continued support of Cure Kids.
They ran, walked, shambled and crawled through 6 km of muddy quagmires, up marshy slopes and down sheer drops masquerading as mudslides. The barrier climbs, barbed wire crawls and electric obstacles were also entertaining in their own way too, some enjoying it so much they did a second lap.
Everyone completed it, taking themselves out of their comfort zones and really challenging themselves to raise awareness of the excellent work carried out by Cure Kids.
Thanks to online sponsorship the charity have raised over $6,000 for this one event.
