Recognition of outstanding student by the Zonta Club of East Auckland

Year 12 Macleans College student Wei Tian Teo (Rutherford House) has been chosen as the Zonta Club recipient for a prestigious Young Woman in Public Affairs Award.
Zonta East Auckland presented this award to Wei Tian at an online Awards ceremony on 3 November.
This award recognises commitment to volunteering and engagement in public affairs and in particular leadership. Her application was quite stunning in her commitment to serving others.
Her nomination is now presented at the New Zealand level. The New Zealand selection is then forwarded to Zonta International where 10 international awards are presented.
Macleans College had a previous International award recipient with Sara Khatau (Hillary 2013 – 2017). Sara attended and spoke to the Zonta Conference in Brisbane in 2019 before nearly 700 attendees.
