Premier hockey players give back to sport

A group of Macleans College Premier hockey players recently umpired at the South Eastern Zone Intermediate Hockey Tournament held at Lloyd Elsmore Park.
The students represented the school proudly and were exceptionally good at helping the younger players compete safely and competitively. Feedback received from the participating intermediate schools was very positive and it was great to see Macleans College students giving back to the sport of hockey.
Student umpires were:
Premier Girls’: Hannah Cullingworth (Batten House), Amy Thackwray (Hillary), Kayla Thackwray (Hillary), Picou Spankie (Te Kanawa), Sunique Jansen van Vuuren (Snell), Arabella Van Der Maas (Te Kanawa), Ava McKay (Te Kanawa) and Lexie Moore (Rutherford).
Premier Boys’: Marco Jansen Van Vuuren (Snell), Connor Macmillan (Rutherford), Samuel Muggleston (Rutherford), Juann Van Rooy (Upham), George Barnes (Kupe) and Finn Mckay (Te Kanawa).
