Passion for Ice Figure Skating leads to Top Placings

Jessie Wang, Year 11 from Hillary House won First place in the North Island Ice Figure Skating Championship and Second placing in the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Championship held recently in Auckland.

An International student, Jessie has been passionate about ice figure skating. She has been competing since 2016 and won many placings which have included:

2016

• 8th place in the 7th International Children’s Games, Innsbruck, Austria
• 3rd place in the 16th Beijing Figure Skating Championship

2017

• 2nd place in West Auckland Ice Skating Club Championship

2018

• 1st place in the North Island Ice Figure Skating Championship (Junior Ladies)
• 2nd place in the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Championship (Junior Ladies)
