Outstanding Selection - International Chemistry Olympiad 2016

Three Macleans College students Ben Zhang and Edward Liu, both from Mansfield and Lucas Lee from Hillary have been selected, together with Ellena Black from St Andrews College, Christchurch to represent New Zealand at the International Chemistry Olympiad to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia at the start of Term Three.
They were chosen from 28 students who attended an Olympiad Camp during the Term One holidays.
They undertook an intensive programme which combined specialist lectures and practicals. The successful four students were selected from their written and practical examinations results.
Dr Allick Lal, a Chemistry teacher at Macleans College, is the mentor for the New Zealand national team.
