Outstanding Sailing Performance

Macleans College student Nicholas Drummond (Year 11 Snell House) has recently competed in the 2019 RS Feva World Championships.
This sailing event took place in Follonica, Italy.
Nicholas, with his sailing partner Blake Hinsley from Botany Downs Secondary College finished 3rd overall and came 2nd in the Under 18 Youth Class.
There were over 200 boats and 400 top sailors from all over the world at the event. Nicholas and Blake received their medals after 14 races held over 5 days.
The event is to be hosted by New Zealand in 2021.
