Outstanding performance by Macleans College student

Macleans College student Ruth Xu Year 11 from Upham House recently attended the Figure Skating National Championships which were held in Dunedin.

At the event she was placed first in the Senior category, being the highest scoring female in the whole competition.

In 2019 at the same event she won the Junior Ladies category. Last year she also represented New Zealand overseas at a Junior Grand Prix in Courchevel, France.

This year she was due to compete in a Junior Grand Prix in Yokohama, Japan but this was cancelled due to COVID–19.
