Orange Ribbon Zonta Awareness Campaign

During the first week of Term 3, the Macleans College Z Club held an orange ribbon campaign to raise awareness of the important work Zonta carries out.

The members made over 100 orange ribbons to spread awareness of violence women face and to support the causes of Women’s Refuge. These were available for purchase at a nominal donation through bucket collections.

The Z club Executive Committee (Tiffany Rodrigo of Hillary House, Medha Penneru of Kupe, Claire Park of Hillary, Shanum Hossain of Upham, Karen Tran of Snell, Meagan Maritz from Mansfield, and Risha Sapaliga of Hillary) planned and organised all aspects of the event.

The funds collected will be donated to Women’s Refuge in order to help women and girls within our community.
