NZSS Tennis Nationals

Last month the following students represented Macleans College at the NZSS Tennis Nationals Tournament which was held in Christchurch.
They were Kaitlyn Wilkinson (Hillary House), Christina Beer (Snell), James Sim (Rutherford), and Leon Wilkinson (Hillary). They had qualified earlier in the term at a tournament held at St Kentigern College.
At the Nationals they competed in the mixed grade competition coming third overall, which was a tremendous result. New Zealand top secondary school players attend this tournament where the competition is fierce. It was an impressive achievement for the players to qualify. They were beaten by St Kentigern College who came first and St Andrew’s College who placed second.
