NZ Netball Reps Coach Macleans Netballers

Macleans College had the privilege of hosting two ANZ and New Zealand Netball representatives on Monday June 11th for a coaching session with our top Netball teams.
Jane Watson (Silver Fern) and Jamie Hume (NZU21), both from the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel ANZ Netball team, delivered an inspiring and motivating training session to our Premier 1, Premier 2 and 10A teams.
The students were involved in drills and activities, most of which were new to them. The session coincided with the schools’ Gifted and Talented Week where we were lucky enough to showcase our top players in the school, alongside the ANZ players. The session ended with a Q & A from the players where the girls learnt about their training demands, pre match rituals, their successes in professional netball and challenges they face on the court.
The session was extremely valuable and we thank Jane and Jamie for taking the time to come to Macleans College.
