Students had to sit a forty-minute multiple-choice examination in early June.  There were 2,194 participants in total from schools throughout New Zealand.

They achieved some impressive results. With twenty-nine students involved, eleven gained High Distinction, placing them in the top five percent of participants.  Another ten students gained Distinction.

Special mention to Jason Chan (Hillary House) who achieved first place in his division and second overall nationally.
