NCEA Level 2 Business Market Day

Posted on August 06, 2019

On Saturday 27 July and Saturday 3 August the Macleans College NCEA Level 2 Business Studies students completed their first and second market days at the Botany Town Centre.

These market days were part of an extensive nine credit internal assessment that challenges students to work in groups to complete a detailed business plan, design and sell a product.

From Macleans College car fresheners to cookie jars and scarves, there was a variety of stalls that showed the extensive amount of time and effort the students had devoted to this task. The addition of a community context also meant a large portion of donations were raised for organisations such as the Blind Dog Foundation, Starship and more.

The market days would not have been as successful without the backing from the commerce teachers, and the numerous friends, family and members of the school community who turned out to show their support. Many thanks to everyone involved.
