National Cross Country Championships

Macleans College students performed exceptionally well in the recent Cross Country Championships held in Rotorua.
There were sixteen athletes who competed with Jeremy Burke (Upham House) receiving the Bronze medal for coming 3rd in the Year Nine event. All of the athletes were placed in the top third of all competitors.
In the team events the Year Nine Boys achieved a 4th place and the Year Nine Girls placed 9th. The Junior Boys finished 13th and the Senior Boys were 20th.
Theo Quax (Kupe) placed 15th in the Senior Boys race and was selected to represent New Zealand in Australia later this year.
