Musical Success by Former Macleans College Student

Clinton Fung (Mansfield Cultural Captain 2010-2011) has been involved in a wide range of musical activities since leaving school.

Prior to this he had the leading supporting role in the Macleans College musical Crazy for You. The same year he was also selected to perform with the NZ Secondary Schools Choir.

He has studied Classical Voice Performance at the University of Otago and later with Dame Malvina Major at the University of Waikato. In 2014 he was selected for a masterclass with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. He is a member of the Freemasons New Zealand Opera Chorus. He has performed with the NZ Opera as a chorus member, with performances such as The Bone Feeder and Figaro.

Currently he is featuring in Carmen. In addition, he recently performed for the Chinese Premier at an event hosted by the Prime Minister Bill English.
