Music Department Prizegiving and Leavers’ Concert

Many memories and humorous moments were shared by the Year 13 students, who also provided a video montage of sneakily recorded rehearsal footage that featured the full musical yelling talents of Mr Miles.

The annual awards were presented to the following students before the Stage Band made their final performance of the year, under director Alberto Santarelli and the Year 13 leavers were presented with their roses, a Music Department tradition.

• Player of the Year – Shuyi Wang of Snell House (Violin) / Sophia Wei of Kupe House (Double Bass)

Chamber Orchestra

• Most Improved Player – Ruby Shi of Batten House (Violin)
• Player of the Year – Lorna Zhang of Mansfield House (Violin)

Stage Band

• Player of the Year – Miles Boermans of Te Kanawa (Keyboard)

Macappella

• Most Improved Singer – Vivian Chan of Te Kanawa House
• Singer of the Year – Jackie Liu of Snell / Shuyi Wang of Snell House

• Most Improved Singer – Rebecca Stewart of Upham House
• Singer of the Year – Hayatt Al Joborry of Mansfield House
