Mud proves no obstacle at the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge Course
Posted on September 03, 2021
The Year 13 Outdoor Education and Year 11 Challenge class recently took part in the Auckland Secondary Schools Tough Guy and Gal Challenge Course.
The goal was to complete the 6km course as quickly as they could without getting too muddy. Easier said than done, as the Helensville course featured many different obstacles and some extreme uphill sections. Mud was a key feature of the course and unavoidable with several students coming back covered from head to toe in mud. However, the students showed a great attitude and persevered through the course to finish.
Each student managed to finish the course with Dion Wallwork (Upham House) from the Year 11 Challenge Course coming second overall in his age category.
